Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has struggled to force his way into Brendan Rogers’ line up of late, and is using his spare time to train his young son to follow in his footsteps.

Lucas’ son Pedro shows off his skills, returning the ball confidently with both feet and slaloming around a line of training cones under the watchful eye of his Brazilian international father.

This latest video follows one from earlier this month, where young Pedro celebrates a goal at the park by emulating Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge’s signature dance.

Lucas wrote on his Instagram page: “Training today with my big boy !!! Love you son !!! ⚽️⚽️”

Lucas himself has not featured in the 18-man squad so far this season, and looks unlikely to make a comeback when the Reds visit Arsenal on Monday night.

The made just 20 league appearances last term, and has been strongly linked with a move to Besiktas that would bring the curtain down on his Liverpool 275 appearances.
