Wenger delivers latest Arsenal injury update ahead of Liverpool game
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says the Gunners have no fresh injury concerns for the visit of Liverpool on Monday
Arsene Wenger says Arsenal have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the visit of Liverpool on Monday.
The Gunners eased to a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park last weekend to record their first Premier League victory of the season.
Gunners trio Jack Wilshere, Danny Welbeck and Tomas Rosicky all missed Arsenal’s trip to south-east London due to injury.
And Wenger confirmed that the trio won’t feature against top-four rivals Liverpool at Emirates Stadium, although the FA Cup holders have no fresh injury problems.
“All the players who played at Palace should be available on Monday night,” Wenger told his media conference at London Colney on Friday morning.
Wenger went into greater depth about the fitness of his squad in an interview with Arsenal’s website, which was published on Thursday night.
The Gunners boss, whose side lost 2-0 to West Ham in their opening game of the season, revealed Rosicky and Wilshere are making good recoveries from their injury setbacks.
“From the Palace game we have no injuries and we have still Wilshere, Welbeck and Rosicky to come back,” Wenger told Arsenal’s website.
“And we have no suspensions. So we should have a similar squad for the Liverpool game. Rosicky is progressing nicely but he is far away. Wilshere should be the first back from those players, he is making good progress.”
