Bastian Schweinsteiger: Why I feel so comfortable at Man United

Bastian Schweinsteiger is already feeling at home at Manchester United

Bastian Schweinsteiger says that he has adapted to life at Manchester United with ease following his summer transfer from Bayern Munich.

The Germany international has slotted seamlessly into the Red Devils’ midfield so far this season and has helped United move to the top of the Premier League table.

The 31-year-old has featured in all seven of United’s top-flight games so far this term and will be hoping for a run-out when the Red Devils take on Wolfsburg in the group stage of the Champions League on Wednesday night.

And Schweinsteiger says that he is already feeling completely at home in Manchester as he bids to help the Red Devils end the season with a trophy.

Schweinsteiger told a news conference at Carrington on Tuesday afternoon: “The whole club, the people are very friendly and helpful.

“And of course my team-mates have made it easy for me. I know the manager and staff.

“OK, nobody really speaks German except the staff, but it was not a problem for me. I’m at an age where I can learn and handle it.

“It was very easy and I feel very comfortable here, especially when we have matches at Old Trafford. it’s a big stadium and a big honour to play here for United, especially in the Champions League.”

Manchester United head into Wednesday’s game on the back of a 2-1 loss to PSV Eindhoven in their Champions League group opener earlier this month.
