Nantes confirm Chelsea have signed Senegal defender Papy Djilobodji after agreeing a reported £4m deal
Nantes have confirmed that Papy Djilobodji has completed a move to Chelsea on transfer deadline the day.
The defending Premier League champions are believed to have agreed a reported £4m deal with the Ligue 1 side for the Senegal international.
Djilobodji becomes Chelsea’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window after Jose Mourinho signed Radamel Falcao, Asmir Begovic, Baha Rahmann and Pedro Rodriguez.
Nantes took to their Twitter page to confirm the African defender’s move to the Premier League on Tuesday morning.

The 27-year-old has scored six times in 169 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 side.
Djilobodji, who had just 12 months remaining on his current Nantes deal, moved to Nantes from US Senart-Moissy in 2010.

Chelsea lost 2-1 to Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.
