Rio Ferdinand and Andrew Cole take to Twitter after Anthony Martial equalises for Man United

Anthony Martial became the first Manchester United signing to score in his first two Premier League games since Federico Macheda after the French forward cancelled out Graziano Pelle’s first-half opener.

Martial opened his United account with a late strike in a 3-1 victory over Liverpool on his Premier League debut at Old Trafford last weekend following his £36m move from Ligue 1 side Monaco on transfer deadline day.

And the 19-year-old extended his goal-scoring run with a brilliant turn and finish to restore parity at St Mary’s after Southampton striker Pelle had given the home side a 13th minute lead.
