Jordan Henderson sends message to Liverpool fans after injury setback

Jordan Henderson vows to come back stronger after the Liverpool midfielder is ruled out with a broken bone in his foot

Jordan Henderson has taken to social media to reveal his frustration after the Liverpool midfielder was ruled out of action for up to eight weeks due to a broken bone in his right foot.

The 25-year-old sustained the problem in training and is set to have an operation next week.

The problem is unrelated to the heel injury which has restricted him to just two appearances for the Reds this season.

Henderson looks set to miss at least 11 games for the Merseyside outfit as he recovers from his latest injury setback.

And the England international took to Twitter on Saturday to reveal his frustration about the situation, before vowing to return to action as quickly as possible.

Henderson tweeted:

Liverpool return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon when they host Norwich City at Anfield.

Brendan Rodgers’ men lost 3-1 to Manchester United last weekend and were held to a 1-1 draw with Bordeaux in the Europa League on Thursday night.
