Jose Mourinho: Arsenal have the players to be champions

Jose Mourinho says Arsenal should be challenging for the title with the quality of players at Emirates Stadium

Jose Mourinho has claimed that Arsenal have the talent to be Premier League champions – and admits he would like to bring all of the Gunners’ players to Chelsea.

Mourinho helped Chelsea claim another victory over their London rivals on Saturday as his Blues side secured a dramatic 2-0 win over nine-man Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

Much has been made of Arsene Wenger’s decision not to sign any outfield players during the summer transfer window, with the Gunners only bringing in Petr Cech from Chelsea during the off-season.

The north London side have already slipped to two defeats in the top flight this term to leave them fifth in the table and five points behind leaders Manchester City.

But Mourinho feels that Arsenal should be challenging for the title with the wealth of talent at Wenger’s disposal at Emirates Stadium.

Speaking at his post match news conference at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, Mourinho said: “I like every player from Arsenal.

“I tell you, if one of their players is a free agent and they don’t want him there, I get every one. I like all of their players.”

“I think Arsenal have the squad to be champions. And every season I feel that.”
