Jurgen Klopp: Robbie Fowler responds to Liverpool speculation

Robbie Fowler asks what manager wouldn't want to work in the Premier League

Robbie Fowler has appeared to reject talk of Jurgen Klopp becoming the Liverpool manager in the near future.

The former Borussia Dortmund head coach has emerged as the clear favourite to succeed Brendan Rodgers should the Northern Irishman receive his marching orders in the coming weeks after a poor start to the season.

According to Sky Sports News’ sources, the 48-year-old manager would be “interested” in working in the Premier League although the Champions League runner-up hasn’t received any contract from Liverpool.

However, former Liverpool striker Fowler wasn’t impressed with the flurry of tweets from the broadcaster, issuing a response to the speculation on his Twitter page.

Rodgers is coming under increasing pressure after collecting just 16 points from the last 15 Premier League games.

Liverpool limped past Carlisle United in the League Cup third round at Anfield on Wednesday night.

Former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti was linked with the Anfield role earlier this week.
