Ledley King praises impact of Tottenham summer signings
The former Spurs captain is impressed with recent performances
Ledley King has hailed the impact of Tottenham Hotspur’s summer signings at White Hart Lane.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino signed Dele Alli, Toby Aldwerweireld, Heung-Min Son and Clinton N’Jie in the most-recent transfer window.
The South Korea international took his tally to three goals in two games after he scored the winner in a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace at The Lane on Sunday.
Former Spurs captain King has been particularly impressed with the performances of Son and Alli ahead of the clash against Arsenal at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night.
King told Sky Sports: “I was impressed with the intensity of the team and I think the new players have had a big impact in terms of lifting the place.
“Particularly Heung-Min Son and Dele Alli with their energy and their legs. We saw that in the Europa League and they’ve been able to do that again at the weekend. So I’m very pleased with the team.”
The retired England international praised Tottenham for finding winning ways over the past week following victories over Sunderland, Qarabag and Palace.
King added: “We got a few draws on the bounce and you really want to turn them into wins. I’m happy that the team has been able to do that.
“The Sunderland result was a big result to get the three points and I thought Sunday’s win against Crystal Palace was the best performance of the season.”
Tottenham are unbeaten against their bitter north London rivals with Pochettino in charge at White Hart Lane.
