Luke Shaw sends message to Man United squad ahead of Saints clash
The injured Manchester United defender says he wishes he could play
Luke Shaw has sent a message to his Manchester United team-mates ahead of their clash at his former club Southampton on Sunday.
The 20-year-old won’t feature at St Mary’s after the left-back suffered a double fracture in his leg during a 2-1 defeat by PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The defender remained in the Netherlands and underwent surgery to correct the problem and is now set to be sidelined for a period of months.
Shaw paid tribute to the doctors and nurses who looked after following his operation on his broken leg this week.
And the England international is looking forward to watching Louis van Gaal’s side take on his former employers in Sunday’s late kick-off.
Looking forward to watching super Sunday today! Wish I was out there though! Come on lads @ManUtd

Shaw moved to United in a reported £27m deal from Southampton last summer.
The Red Devils can move to within two points of leaders Manchester City with victory over the Saints.
