Man United transfers: Gareth Bale to end career at Real Madrid, says agent

Manchester United target Gareth Bale wants to end his career at Real Madrid, according to the Welshman's agent

Manchester United target Gareth Bale wants to finish his career at Real Madrid, according to his agent.

The Red Devils were linked with a £100m offer for the Wales international in the summer transfer window.

However, a move failed to materialise as United signed 19-year-old forward Anthony Martial from Monaco on transfer deadline day.

And United have been dealt a blow after Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett insisted the 26-year-old forward wants to stay at the Spanish capital.

“I think he’s very happy at Real Madrid and hopefully he’ll stay there the rest of his career,” Barnett is quoted as saying by Daily Telegraph. “He loves it there and things are going well for him.”

Bale has won the Copa del Rey and Champions League since he moved to the Spanish capital from Tottenham Hotspur in a world-record £85.3m deal in 2013.

The Welshman scored 42 goals in 164 Premier League appearances for the north London side during a six-year stay at White Hart Lane before he moved to Madrid in a £85.3m deal in 2013.
