Man United transfers: Gary Neville tweets shock over Anthony Martial fee
Former Man United defender Gary Neville tweets his surprise after Anthony Martial deal rises to £59m
Gary Neville was speechless after the Manchester United legend went out for dinner only to return to see Anthony Martial’s fee had risen to £59m.
The Red Devils were initially reported to have agreed a £36m deal with Monaco for the highly-rated 19-year-old striker.
However, reports in France suggested that the Ligue 1 side were claiming the deal was an initial £36m fee with £23m in add-ons.
And Neville presumably spat out some of his dinner when he was informed of the alleged increase in free for the uncapped France centre-forward.
Just been out for a bite to eat and Martial has gone up 23m according to this thing from 36m to 59m? Is that right?

Naturally, a host of United supporters flooded Neville’s timeline to update the popular Sky Sports host on the latest events in the Martial deal.
“@Greavesy92: @GNev2 According to Canal+. 50m euros plus 30m in bonuses. Crazy money”
Ha that's ok !!!

Former United centre-half David May was concerned about the fee, though, as he offered his fellow Champions League winner some helpful dietary advice.
“@DavidMay04: @GNev2 don't have pudding mate !!!”
Haha. For more than one reason!
