Manchester United's players take to Instagram after the Red Devils' 3-1 win over Liverpool on Saturday

Manchester United moved up to second place in the Premier League table thanks to a dramatic 3-1 victory over Liverpool at Old Trafford on Saturday evening.

After a goalless first half, Louis van Gaal’s men went ahead when Daley Blind curled home from a free kick after being set up by Juan Mata.

Ander Herrera made it 2-0 from the penalty spot after the Spaniard was brought down by Joe Gomez in the box.

Christian Benteke then pulled a goal back for Brendan Rodgers’ men late on with a superb overhead kick to set up a tense finale.

However, substitute Anthony Martial put the game beyond doubt when he surged into the box and slotted home a cool finish to wrap up the three points.
