Martin Odegaard insists that he is confident he made the right decision in joining Real Madrid and has no regrets about turning down the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool.
The Norwegian youngster was heavily linked with a transfer to the Premier League before finally opting to join Real Madrid in January 2015 after quitting Stromsgodset.
The 15-year-old visited a number of clubs in England before his decision to join the Spanish outfit.
And more than six months after his move to the La Liga outfit, the teenager has insisted that he is pleased with his decision to join the Spanish club.
Odegaard is quoted as saying by Metro: “I visited Liverpool, the two Manchester teams and they were all very nice but my choice was Real Madrid and I am very happy with that.
“Madrid is very good. It is the best place if you want to become a better footballer.”
Odegaard made his debut for Real Madrid during the 7-3 win over Getafe back in May.
Manchester United and Liverpool go head-to-head on the pitch this weekend when the Merseyside outfit take on Louis van Gaal’s men in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Saturday evening.
