Juan Mata and Bastian Schweinsteiger take to Twitter after Man United beat Sunderland

Bastian Schweinsteiger was revelling in Manchester United’s position at the top of the Premier League table after their 3-0 win against Sunderland.

Memphis Depay broke the deadlock at Old Trafford with his first goal in the English top-flight just before half-time after good work from Juan Mata.

United captain Wayne Rooney ended his Premier League goal drought with his first of the season after the break before Mata added a third in injury time.

And Schweinsteiger, who moved to United from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window, took to Twitter to admire United’s current position at the top of the Premier League table:
