Matteo Darmian runs rule over Man United move
Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian says he loves the atmosphere in the Premier League
Matteo Darmian has run the rule over his move to Manchester United.
The Italy international has been one of United’s most-impressive signings of the summer after immediately slotting into the right-back role in Louis van Gaal’s side.
There is a magical atmosphere, always, even in training
Darmian helped the Red Devils to keep three successive clean sheets before a surprise 2-1 defeat by Swansea City at Liberty Stadium in their last Premier League game.
The 25-year-old full-back says he is enjoying the fantastic atmosphere in the Premier League after his £11.5m switch to Old Trafford.
“When we say that England is actually another world, it is partly true,” Darmian is quoted as saying by talkSPORT.
“As you arrive you realise that everything is different, starting with the facilities.
“There is a magical atmosphere, always, even in training.”
Darmian has managed to usurp Ecuador international Antonio Valencia at right-back at the start of the Premier League season.
The Italian defender scored six goals in 152 appearances for Turin side Torino during his fopur-year stay at the Serie A club.
Darmian has made 15 appearances for the Italian national team since the full-back made his debut in 2014.
