Morgan, Savage and more: Twitter reacts as Tottenham thrash Man City 4-1
Piers Morgan and Robbie Savage both tweet their thoughts as Tottenham thrash Manchester City 4-1 at White Hart Lane
Tottenham Hotspur moved up to fifth place in the Premier League table thanks to a thumping 4-1 win over leaders Manchester City at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
Spurs fell behind in the 25th minute in north London after summer signing Kevin De Bruyne broke the deadlock when he buried his shot past Hugo Lloris despite appearing to be offside.
However, the home side drew level on the stroke of half-time when Eric Dier finished from outside the area, although Kyle Walker was in an offside position in the lead up to the goal.
Toby Alderweireld then gave Mauricio Pochettino’s men the lead five minutes after half-time, before Harry Kane netted his first goal of the season for Spurs when he slotted home the rebound from Christian Eriksen’s free-kick.
Erik Lamela then made the points secure and added further gloss to the scoreline when he slotted home late on.
The big game prompted plenty of activity on Twitter – and here are some of our favourite updates.
