Petr Cech and Mesut Ozil take to Twitter after Arsenal's 2-1 win at Tottenham

Mathieu Flamini was the toast of the red half of north London after the Arsenal midfielder scored twice in a 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

The France international netted the third-round winner with 12 minutes remaining at White Hart Lane after a Calum Chambers own goal had cancelled out the midfielder’s close-range finish in the first half.

Arsenal failed to beat Tottenham in the Premier League last season, and unsurprisingly, the Gunners stars wasted no time taking to Twitter to savour in their League Cup triumph over their derby rivals.

Petr Cech may have been rested for the League Cup tie, but the Czech Republic international was keeping a close eye on the events in north London:
