Calum Chambers couldn’t keep a smile off his face after the Arsenal defender helped England’s Under-21 side secure victory on Thursday night.
Manchester United striker James Wilson scored a 70th-minute winner as Gareth Southgate’s side eased to a 1-0 victory over USA’s Under-23 outfit last night.
Chambers helped England keep a clean sheet as the 20-year-old defender looked to forget a horror performance in a goalless draw with Liverpool last month.
And the versatile Gunners defender posed for a snap with Brighton and Hove Albion star Jake Forster-Caskey after their slender friendly win.
Chambers wrote on his Instagram page: “Solid 1-0 win and clean sheet! @jakecaskey 👊”
The England international moved to The Emirates in a £16m deal from Southampton last summer after an eye-catching spell at St Mary’s.
Chambers scored one goal in 23 Premier League appearances in his first season in north London but played 13 further games in cup competitions.
The Arsenal youngster was also part of their FA Cup-winning side.
