Jeff Reine-Adelaide has claimed that he is set to return to training on Tuesday after it was initially thought he would be out of action for around two months.

The 17-year-old, who joined the north London side from RC Lens in the summer and impressed during the Emirates Cup, was included in Arsenal’s first-team photocall earlier this month in a hint that Arsene Wenger plans to give him a run out in the top competitions.

The teenager suffered a suspected hamstring injury while playing for the north London club’s Under-21 side earlier this month and was initially expected to be out for around two months.

Now however, the youngster has confirmed that he will be back in training this week, and it is news that could boost the Gunners after injuries to first-team regulars Francis Coquelin, Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini.

Reine-Adelaide shared the photo above on his personal Instagram account on Monday night and wrote: “Come back to train tomorrow ✌🏽️”
