Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas posts Throwback Thursday snap with Gerard Pique and Louis van Gaal

Cesc Fabregas was in a nostalgic mood on Thursday night after the Chelsea midfielder posted a childhood snap from his early Barcelona days.

The 28-year-old was join in the snap by his former Barcelona team-mate Gerard Pique and current Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.

Fabregas joined Barcelona’s famous La Masia academy as a 10-year-old before he moved to north London side Arsenal in 2003.

Van Gaal had two terms in charge of Barcelona between 1997 and 2000 as well as a one-season stint in 2002.

And the Chelsea midfielder appeared to be reflecting on some fond memories as he posted a Throwback Thursday snap.

The Blues playmaker will be hoping to feature when the Blues take on Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday lunchtime.

Jose Mourinho’s men slumped to a surprise 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace in their most recent outing, a result which left the defending champions with just four points from their opening four Premier League games.
