The Chelsea star is pleased to open his Premier League account for the season
Eden Hazard has expressed his delight to score his first Premier League goal of the season after a 2-0 victory over nine-man Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The Belgium international doubled the west London side’s lead after Kurt Zouma had broken the deadlock in the second half against Arsene Wenger’s men.
Hazard has been heavily criticised for a subdued start to the season which has resulted in no goals or assists after five Premier League games.
So no surprise the reigning PFA player of the year was keen to savour his first goal of the campaign on photo-sharing app Instagram on Sunday.
Hazard wrote in his caption: “Great win yesterday… Happy to score⚽️⚽️ and happy for my man @kurtzouma @cesarazpi”
The Belgium forward scored 16 goals in 34 games as he helped Chelsea win their fourth Premier League crown last season.
Hazard moved to Chelsea from Ligue 1 side Lille in 2012 despite interest from the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United.
