Loic Remy reflects on his first 90 minutes of the season for Chelsea
Loic Remy couldn’t disguise his delight to get a rare 90 minutes under his belt at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
The France international produced a lively performance although he failed to get on the score sheet in a 4-0 victory over Maccabi Tel-Aviv in the Champions League.
The 28-year-old striker, who moved to Chelsea from Queens Park Rangers last summer, hadn’t racked up a single minute in the Premier League in their opening five games.
And Remy reflected on his Champions League performance on his Instagram page.
Remy wrote: “Good win yesterday and happy to played my first 90 minutes this season.”
The Frenchman scored nine times in 29 games in all competitions during his first season at the defending Premier League champions.
Remy initially moved to the English top-flight in 2013 after Queens Park Rangers signed the striker in an £8.5m deal from Marseille.
The former Lyon man could line up for the west London side against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
