Hector Bellerin won't feature for Arsenal against Dinamo Zagreb
Hector Bellerin has wished his Arsenal team-mates good luck ahead of their Champions League opener on Tuesday evening.
The Gunners face Dinamo Zagreb in an early kick-off this evening as Arsene Wenger’s look to become the first English side to register points in this season’s competition.
Bellerin won’t feature against the Croatian side after the right-back was left behind along with Aaron Ramsey ahead of the north London side’s trip to Chelsea on Saturday.
And the Spain Under-21 international sent a message of support to his Gunners team-mates ahead of their Champions League curtain raiser.
Bellerin wrote on the photo-sharing app: “What a year it’s been… Good luck to the boys tonight! #OneYearAgo”
This is the Gunners’ 18th successive group stage campaign. Last term, they reached the round of 16 for the 15th time in a row but again departed at that stage – as in the previous four campaigns.
A 3-1 home defeat by AS Monaco put them on the back foot in the round of 16, and a 2-0 away victory not enough to keep them in the competition.
