Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson shows off his new Nike shoes ahead of his return to action
Jordan Henderson appears to have given Liverpool a boost as the Reds captain donned his new gym shoes ahead of a potential return to action.
The 25-year-old playmaker, who was named as the Reds captain following Steven Gerrard’s move away from Anfield in the summer, was omitted from Roy Hodgson’s England squad after his recent foot injury.
Henderson was forced off in the second half of Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Bournemouth before he left out of Brendan Rodgers’s squad for games against Arsenal and West Ham United.
The England midfielder took to Instagram to show off his new Nike Lunar Glide 7 training shoes.
Henderson wrote on the photo-sharing app: “New gym trainers 💪 #nikelunarglide7”
The midfielder was named as permanent Liverpool captain after Reds legend Steven Gerrard move to LA Galaxy in the summer.
Henderson has emerged as a key player for the Merseyside outfit over the past two seasons, scoring 10 goals in 72 Premier League games.
The England man moved to Liverpool from Sunderland in a £20m deal in 2011.
