Pedro Chirivella reveals his delight at making his Liverpool debut on Thursday night
Pedro Chirivella took to social media to reveal his delight at making his Liverpool debut during the Reds’ Europa League draw with Bordeaux on Thursday night.
The 18-year-old was a first-half substitute for defender Kolo Toure after the Ivorian suffered a leg injury during the 1-1 draw in France.
Adam Lallana opened the scoring with a superb 65th-minute strike after he had nutmegged defender Pablo.
But the home side fought back and Jussie Ferreira Vieira fired high into the net nine minutes from full time to earn a point for the Ligue 1 outfit.
Chirivella was delighted to get his first run-out in a Liverpool shirt and took to social media to thank his followers for their messages.
He uploaded the photo above onto his personal Instagram account and wrote: “Very happy with my Europa League debut. A dream come true! Now time to keep working and learning🏼 Disappointing not to win in the end. Thanks for all The messages!! @liverpoolfc #LFC”
Liverpool now turn their attentions to their Premier League clash with Norwich City at Anfield on Sunday afternoon as they look to return to winning ways in the top flight.
