Manchester City signing Nicolas Otamendi uploads a snap with Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo
Nicolas Otamendi and Marcos Rojo may have trouble accepting that their playing for bitter rivals judging by their close friendship.
Otamendi completed a reported £40m move to Manchester City in the summer transfer window after having been previously linked with a move to Manchester United.
Rojo is yet to feature for the Red Devils this season after manager Louis van Gaal gave the defender an extended break following the Copa America.
The centre-halves are currently on international duty with Argentina, and Otamendi posted a snap of the duo which Rojo later reposted on his Instagram page.
Otamendi wrote on the photo-sharing app: “With my pal Marcos Rojo”
The City summer signing has been active on social media during the international break.
And the 27-year-old defender posed for a snap with United defender Rojo and Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi in the Argentina camp on Wednesday night.
Rojo, who moved to Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon last summer, is facing a battle to recover his starting spot after United kept three clean sheets in their opening four Premier League games.
