Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger shows off his ping-pong ability
Bastian Schweinsteiger has been showing off his ping-pong skills on international duty.
The Manchester United midfielder helped Germany secure a 3-1 victory over bitter rivals Poland in their most Euro 2016 qualifier on Friday night.
Schweinsteiger notched up his 112th Germany appearance as Thomas Muller’s opener and Mario Gotze’s brace was enough to secure victory.
World Cup winner Schweinsteiger, who moved to Old Trafford from Bayern Munich this summer, posted a behind-the-scenes snap from the Germany camp.
Schweinsteiger wrote on his Instagram page: “Time for some table tennis. Playing with Thomas Müller is always fun. @dfb_team #DieMannschaft”
The World Cup winner has made five appearances for the Red Devils since his £8.3m move to Old Trafford from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.
The Germany legend made his full Premier League debut in a goalless draw with Newcastle United last month.
Schweinsteiger won eight Bundesliga titles, seven German Cups and the Champions League during a decorated career with the Bavarian club.
