Marcos Rojo is already looking forward to Manchester United's clash with Ipswich Town on Wednesday

Marcos Rojo has already turned his attentions to Manchester United’s League Cup clash with Ipswich Town this week after helping the Red Devils beat Southampton 3-2 at the weekend.

The Argentina defender played 69 minutes at St Mary’s as goals from Anthony Martial and Juan Mata moved United up to second place in the Premier League table and just two points behind leaders Manchester City after six games.

United take on Ipswich at Old Trafford on Wednesday night as they look to book their place in the fourth round of the League Cup.

And Rojo is already looking forward to that clash as Louis van Gaal’s men look to transform their good league form into the cup competition.

Rojo posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Monday afternoon and wrote: “Let’s keep up the good work. #RojoIsRed #MUFC”

Sunday’s game was the first match Rojo has started for United this season after his extended summer holiday following his involvement in the Copa America with Argentina.
