Marcos Rojo pays tribute to Luke Shaw in the build-up to Manchester United's clash with Southampton

Marcos Rojo has taken to social media to reveal that Luke Shaw remains in his thoughts as Manchester United prepare to face the defender’s former club Southampton on Sunday afternoon.

The England international underwent surgery on Tuesday night after suffering a double fracture of his leg during the 2-1 loss to PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League.

Messages of support have been flooding in for the 20-year-old since the horrific incident, which took place early on during the group-stage clash in the Netherlands.

And Rojo used his Instagram account to pay tribute to Shaw as the defender begins his recovery from the setback.

Rojo posted the picture above on the photo-sharing app and wrote: “There isn´t a better match to motivate our team-mate @lukeshaw23 in his recovery, wouldn´t you agree? #RojoIsRed #MUFC #PremierLeague”
