Mesut Ozil was thrilled to help Arsenal make it back to back Premier League wins

Mesut Ozil took to social media to reveal his delight at helping Arsenal seal a 2-0 win over Stoke City on Saturday.

The Germany international set up Theo Walcott’s opener has he played 84 minutes against the Potters, with Olivier Giroud scoring the Gunners’ other goal.

The result temporarily moved Arsenal up to second place in the table before Manchester United’s win over Liverpool.

And Ozil used his Instagram account to express his contentment at the result following the victory.

The playmaker share the photo above on the app and wrote: “Job done! 2⃣ striker goals make us 2nd of the table for the moment. Have a nice weekend Gunners! 💪😎 #YaGunnersYa #Arsenal #bpl”

Walcott opened the scoring in the 31st minute in north London when he controlled Ozil’s long ball and coolly slotted past Jack Butland.

The Gunners looked confident throughout and enjoyed 68 per cent of the possession at Emirates Stadium.

Substitute Giroud sealed victory late on with a header in the 85th minute to hand Arsenal back to back wins and lift them up to second in the table, five points behind early leaders Manchester City.
