Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi snaps a photo with Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo
Nicolas Otamendi and Marcos Rojo will soon be Premier League rivals, but the Manchester City defender joined his Manchester United pal for a snap.
The Argentina international moved to the Citizens in a reported £40m deal from Valencia in the summer transfer window despite being previously linked with the Red Devils.
Otamendi still hasn’t made an appearance for the City since his big-money move as the 27-year-old centre-half gets up to match fitness following an extended summer break.
And the City signing posed for a snap with United defender Rojo and Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi in the Argentina camp on Wednesday night.
Otamendi wrote on his Instagram page: “Taking a few mates with the band”
Rojo has been regaining match fitness after United manager Louis van Gaal gave the centre-half an extended break following the Copa America earlier this summer.

The United defender, who moved to Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon last summer, is facing a battle to recover his starting spot after United kept three clean sheets in their opening four Premier League games.
