Photo: Tottenham midfielder sends message after missing Man City win
The Tottenham midfielder is currently recovering from injury problem
Ryan Mason sent a message to Tottenham Hotspur supporters on Instagram after the midfielder was forced to sit out their 4-1 victory over Manchester City at White Hart Lane.
The England international hasn’t featured for the north London since he scored the winner in a 1-0 victory over Sunderland at Stadium of Light earlier this month.
Mason’s strike sparked a five-game winning run in all competitions for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, including a 4-1 win against leaders City on Saturday afternoon.
And ahead of kick-off, Spurs midfielder Mason took to his Instagram page to send a message to Tottenham supporters.
Mason wrote on the photo-sharing app: “Painful missing our last 4 home games at the lane ! Hopefully there for the next one, good luck to the boys today #COYS”
The 24-year-old midfielder scored one goal in 31 Premier League games for Tottenham last season.
Mason signed a new five-year deal with the north London outfit earlier in the year after an impressive breakthrough season for the Enfield-born midfielder.
Tottenham moved up to fifth place in the Premier League table after goals from Eric Dier, Toby Alderweireld, Harry Kane and Erik Lamela.
