Christian Eriksen was all smiles as he posed for a picture with his girlfriend as they prepared to cheer Denmark on from the comfort of their sofa.

The Tottenham Hotspur playmaker is currently out injured with a knee injury but that didn’t stop him from donning his nation’s shirt and tuning in to watch their Euro 2016 qualifier clash against Albania.

Eriksen looked to be in good spirits with his partner Sabrina Kvist Jensen as the pair prepared to watch their nation in action.

The Spurs star posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Friday evening and wrote: “We are ready! #komsåDanmark #rødoghvide #komsådrenge #vejentilfrankrig”

Tottenham are hopeful that Eriksen will return to action after his lay-off with a knee injury after the international break. He has missed the north London club’s last two games with the problem.

Eriksen scored three goals and made 10 assists in 38 Premier League games, featuring in each of the north London side’s top-flight matches last term.

The Denmark international has been a huge hit at the League Cup runners-up after he moved to Spurs from Ajax in an £11m deal in 2013.

Eriksen has scored 17 goals in 58 Premier League appearances following his switch to north London outfit two summers ago.
