Photos: Boost for Arsenal as Mesut Ozil looks sharp with Germany

Mesut Ozil looks to be in good shape after missing Arsenal's win over Newcastle with a knee injury

Arsenal have been handed a boost after Mesut Ozil was pictured looking in good shape while on international duty with Germany this week.

The World Cup winner was forced to miss Arsenal’s 1-0 win at Newcastle United in the Premier League last weekend with a minor knee injury.

However, the problem has not prevented the playmaker from joining up with his Germany team-mates this week, and the former Real Madrid star came through training sessions on Wednesday and Thursday unscathed.

Ozil will be hoping to play a part when Germany host Poland in their Euro 2016 qualifier on Friday night looking to take a step closer towards qualification for next summer’s tournament in France.

Ozil had featured in all three of Arsenal’s Premier League games this season before suffering the knee problem in the build-up to last weekend’s clash at St James’ Park.
