Arsenal train at London Colney ahead of their Champions League group-stage opener against Dinamo Zagreb

Santi Cazorla and Alexis Sanchez appeared to be in particularly good spirits as Arsenal trained at London Colney on Tuesday morning ahead of their Champions League trip to Dinamo Zagreb.

The Gunners are hoping to get their group-stage campaign off to a solid start as they look to build on their 2-0 win over Stoke City in the Premier League at the weekend.

Arsene Wenger’s men were put through their paces at a grey and blustery London Colney as the Gunners geared up for their European opener.

This is the Gunners’ 18th successive group-stage campaign. Last season they reached the round of 16 for the 15th time in a row but again departed at that stage – as in the previous four campaigns.

Dinamo were beaten 5-1 on aggregate by Arsenal in the 2006-07 third qualifying round, losing 3-0 at home and 2-1 away.

Here are some of the best pictures from Tuesday morning’s Arsenal training session at London Colney.
