Memphis Depay and Juan Mata have taken to social media to make a touching tribute to Luke Shaw by dedicating Manchester United’s win over Southampton to the injured defender.

The England international is beginning his recovery in Manchester after suffering a double fracture of his right leg in last week’s Champions League defeat at PSV Eindhoven.

Goals from Anthony Martial and Mata wrapped up a thrilling 3-2 win for Louis van Gaal’s men at St Mary’s on Sunday afternoon as the Red Devils moved up to second place in the Premier League table.

However, both Depay and Mata were quick to take to social media after the game to dedicate the victory to their injured team-mate.

Depay posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “This victory is for @lukeshaw23”

Mata, meanwhile, shared the simple photo below on his own account.
