Piers Morgan reacts to Diego Costa’s performance after Arsenal loss

Piers Morgan was somewhat unimpressed by Diego Costa's display against Arsenal on Saturday...

Piers Morgan vowed to “pray for Diego Costa’s sins” after the Chelsea striker’s fiery performance in Arsenal’s 2-0 loss at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Spain international provoked Gabriel Paulista in the first half in west London just before the Arsenal centre-half was shown a straight red card and clashed with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after the break, before being substituted.

Arsenal were reduced to nine men when captain Santi Cazorla was shown a second yellow card late on, as goals from Kurt Zouma and Eden Hazard handed Jose Mourinho’s men victory over their London rivals.

Costa’s performance inevitably prompted a flurry of activity on social media after the game – and Arsenal shareholder Morgan was quick to get involved.

Morgan tweeted:

There was more bad news after the final whistle for Arsenal after Arsene Wenger revealed that midfielder Francis Coquelin looks set to miss Wednesday’s League Cup trip to Tottenham Hotspur due to a knee injury picked up against the Blues on Saturday.
