Piers Morgan slams Arsenal after signing just Petr Cech this summer
Arsenal supporter Piers Morgan isn't happy with the lack of transfer activity at the Gunners over the summer
Piers Morgan has branded Arsenal “a joke” after the Gunners signed just Petr Cech in the summer transfer window.
Arsene Wenger snapped up the 33-year-old Czech Republic international in an £11m deal from defending Premier League champions Chelsea in July.
The Gunners were linked with a move for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema and Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani in recent weeks.
However, Benzema reaffirmed his commitment to the 10-time European champions and Cavani remained in the French capital despite Wenger being snapped on an apparent flight to Paris.
And outspoken Arsenal supporter Morgan was furious with the north London side’s transfer activity – or lack thereof it – this summer.
18 players OUT.
One player IN.
£200m remains in the bank.
What an absolute joke. #afc
