Piers Morgan slams ‘unbelievable’ Arsene Wenger after Arsenal injury blow

Danny Welbeck's injury setback has left celebrity Arsenal fan Piers Morgan even more frustrated

Piers Morgan has once again taken to social media to vent his frustration at Arsene Wenger after the Arsenal manager opted not to sign any new players on transfer deadline day.

The Gunners were one of the quietest Premier League clubs during the summer transfer window, with the north London side only signing goalkeeper Petr Cech from Chelsea during the summer months.

Arsenal were linked with a host of players during the summer, including the likes of Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani and Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.

However, Wenger chose not to bring in any reinforcements this week – despite the Gunners confirming that striker Danny Welbeck is set to be sidelined for a number of months after undergoing surgery on his left knee.

Celebrity fan and Arsenal shareholder Morgan took to Twitter to vent his anger at Wenger’s refusal to sign a new forward following the news of Welbeck’s injury setback.

Arsenal return to Premier League action against Stoke City at Emirates Stadium after the international break.
