The Manchester United captain sends a message to injured Luke Shaw
Wayne Rooney led the tributes to Luke Shaw on Wednesday morning as the Manchester United left-back begins his long road to recovery from a broken leg.
The England international suffered the horror injury after a heavy tackle from Hector Moreno in United’s 2-1 defeat by PSV Eindhoven in their Champions League group-stage opener.
Shaw is set to undergo an operation upon his return to Manchester after the 20-year-old full-back required 10 minutes of treatment on the pitch before he was stretchered off.
