Thierry Henry discusses Chelsea's title hopes after their Premier League draw with Newcastle

Thierry Henry believes that Chelsea face a tough task in trying to hold onto their Premier League title this season after the Blues were held to a 2-2 draw at Newcastle on Saturday.

Jose Mourinho’s men had to come from two goals down to earn a point at St James’ Park as their stuttering start to the Premier League season continued.

The west London side remain in 15th place in the top flight table after seven games and are already eight points behind leaders Manchester United.

And Arsenal legend Henry concedes that the Blues now face a tough task in trying to keep hold of their top-flight crown, although he admitted that their fortunes could change in a matter of weeks.

Henry said on Sky Sports: “It’s going to be a tricky one.

“Not only do they need City to drop points, Manchester United and Liverpool also are there, Arsenal too.

“It’s going to be a hell of a task but you never know. Two weeks ago, everybody was raving about Man City and now, two weeks later, they are not playing the same way.

“So, who knows what can happen in this league?”

Chelsea travel to FC Porto in their next Champions League game in midweek before hosting Southampton at Stamford Bridge next Saturday in the Premier League.
