Tottenham star Harry Kane will be top player, insists former Chelsea star
Chris Sutton explains why Tottenham shouldn't worry about Harry Kane
Harry Kane will be a top player despite the Tottenham Hotspur striker’s slow start to the season, according to Chris Sutton.
The England international is still waiting to open his Premier League account for the new campaign after having drawn a blank in Tottenham’s opening six Premier League games.
Kane, who was linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer, was named the PFA player of the year last season after the 22-year-old forward scored 31 times in 51 appearances in all competitions.
And speaking ahead of Spurs’s clash against Manchester City, former Chelsea striker Sutton believes there is much more to Kane’s game than purely scoring goals.
“I feel for Harry Kane. He’s got more strings to his bow than scoring goals. He’ll be a top player,” Sutton told BBC Sport.
On Spurs, Sutton added: “I worry about Spurs – where they’re going. I think they’ll be sixth or seventh again as usual.”
The England striker scored 21 goals in 34 Premier League games for Tottenham last season.
Kane was named the PFA young player of the year last term after he netted 21 goals in 31 Premier League games for Spurs.
