Tottenham star Son Heung-min reflects on first Premier League goal
The Tottenham Hotspur summer signing is thrilled with his winner
Son Heung-min has spoken of his delight at opening his Premier League account in a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
The South Korea international netted a 68th-minute winner against Alan Pardew’s side to secure Tottenham’s first home victory of the season.
Son scored a quick-fire double in the north London side’s 3-1 victory over Qarabag in the Europa League at The Lane on Thursday night.
Speaking to Sky Sports following the 1-0 result, the Spurs striker reflected on his winner against Palace.
“I’m very happy because we win the first home game and I score the first Premier League goal. I hope every week is like this,” Son said.
“It’s amazing [to play in the Premier League], a really different style to the Bundesliga, more power and speed. I like this and am happy to play.”
Son moved to Tottenham from Bayer Leverkusen in a reported £21m deal in the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old scored 11 times in 42 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga side during a three-year stay at Leverkusen.
Tottenham move up to ninth place in the Premier League table after taking nine points from a possible 18.
