Watch Mathieu Flamini dedicate derby double to Arsenal supporters

The Arsenal match-winner has a message for Gunners supporters

Mathieu Flamini can do no wrong with Arsenal supporters after he dedicated his derby double to Gunners fans on Wednesday night.

The France midfielder was the surprise hero for the red half of north London after he scored either side of half-time to secure a 2-1 victory over their bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

Flamini broke the deadlock with a close-range finish after Michel Vorm parried Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s shot into the defensive midfielder’s path.

However, there was no element of fortune about Flamini’s second after he struck a brilliant volley from outside the area past the Spurs goalkeeper with 12 minutes remaining.

And the former AC Milan midfielder posted the above video message on Arsenal’s Twitter account following their north London derby win.

Flamini said: “Hi guys. Congratulations today. We were amazing at Tottenham stadium. This goal is for you. Thank you for your support.”

The 31-year-old has scored 13 goals in 223 appearances in all competitions during two spells at The Emirates.
