Arsenal are the best Premier League club at beating the smaller clubs in the English top-flight, according to Andy Gray.

The Gunners make the journey to south Wales to face Garry Monk’s Swansea City side at Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The north London side have won their last four Premier League games following victories over Leicester City, Manchester United, Watford and Everton.

Although Arsene Wenger’s side suffered a surprise 3-0 defeat by Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday in the League Cup mid-week, former Everton and Aston Villa star Gray is bouncing Arsenal to bounce back against Swansea.

“Arsenal are in a very good place at the moment.,” Gray wrote in Paddy Power’s blog.

“I know they lost to Sheffield Wednesday in midweek in the League Cup, but that won’t bother them. Arsenal are the best in the league at beating the smaller teams.

“They don’t always have the best record against the top sides, but there’s no one better than Arsenal at beating the smaller teams. The likes of Swansea, the West Hams teams like that.”

Arsenal are level on points with Premier League leaders Manchester City.

The Gunners suffered their first defeat in four games after a humiliating night in the Capital One Cup for the FA Cup holders.
