Piers Morgan has launched a scathing attack on Jose Mourinho following Chelsea’s shocking start to the new season.
The Portuguese coach has found himself in the unfamiliar position of being under considerable pressure after his side slumped to their fifth defeat of the season against Southampton last weekend.
Chelsea’s poor form prompted the west London side to release a statement insisting that Mourinho retains the full backing of the club.
But the Blues’ stuttering form has presented Morgan with the perfect opportunity to aim a dig at the former Real Madrid and Inter Milan coach.
Mourinho famously branded Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger a “specialist in failure” earlier this year, before the Frenchman guided the north London club to their second successive FA Cup.
And Arsenal shareholder and celebrity fan Morgan jumped at the chance to mock the Chelsea boss following the club’s disastrous start to the new campaign.
Morgan told talkSPORT on Thursday: “Jose, you are a specialist, a specialist in failure, a specialist in relegation zones, a specialist in – potentially – the Championship next season.
“I wish I could say I feel sorry for you but I don’t because you are an arrogant, cocky, sneering, Portuguese SOB (which I believe is the preferred term for your medical staff.”
