Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain says he is will seek help from Arsenal legend Thierry Henry to improve his goal record for the Gunners.

The 22-year-old forward scored in England’s 3-0 victory over Lithuania on Monday night to help secure a perfect qualification campaign for Roy Hodgson’s side.

I think there’s no better man to advise you on how to get a goal here or there. “My goals record is definitely something I think of

Oxlade-Chamberlain is still waiting for his first goal of the season for the north London side despite making eight Premier League appearances.

Last month, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger challenged the England international to overcome his confidence issues which the Gunners boss appeared to suggest have been hampering his development.

And Oxlade-Chamberlain revealed that he is planning to turn to Henry, who is working as a youth coach at Arsenal, in a bid to become more prolific for the FA Cup winners.

“I might have to have a few words with Thierry,” Oxlade-Chamberlain is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.

“I think there’s no better man to advise you on how to get a goal here or there. “My goals record is definitely something I think of.

“It’s something, as an attacking player, you have to be aware of. You can’t force it too much because you start to do the wrong things on the pitch if you try to force shots that are not on but it is definitely something I think about and work on.”

Oxlade-Chamberlain last scored for Arsenal in August after the midfielder netted the north London side’s winner in a 1-0 victory over Chelsea in the Community Shield at Wembley in August.
