The Sky Sports pundit recently questioned Arsenal’s mentality and their approach to the big games in the build-up to the clash with Manchester United at Emirates Stadium before the international break.
However, Wenger’s men proved their critics wrong with an impressive display as they wrapped up a 3-0 victory over Louis van Gaal’s men to move up to second place in the Premier League table.
Wenger admits that he has no problem listening to the views of pundits, but says that often their claims are absurd.
Asked about Neville’s comments, Wenger told a news conference at Emirates Stadium on Thursday: “We just turn up on Saturday, just go out and play.
“Honestly, I am 30 years in this job. I have a good tolerance level to sometimes listen to things that are really ridiculous. Honestly. I can do it.”
Arsenal head into Saturday’s clash with Watford looking to continue their recent fine domestic form.
The north London side are now just two points behind leaders Manchester City after their victory over United before the international break.
