Asmir Begovic has urged Chelsea to clear their heads after their League Cup exit ahead of their clash against Liverpool.

The Blues crashed out of the Capital One Cup in the fourth round after a 5-4 penalty shootout defeat by Stoke City at The Britannia on Tuesday night.

The west London side have won just one of their last seven games in all competitions and have lost to Porto, Southampton, West Ham and the Potters.

Chelsea goalkeeper Begovic, who moved to the defending Premier League champions in an £8m deal from Stoke City in the summer, issued a rallying cry ahead of Saturday’s game against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are in 15th place and 11 points behind leaders Manchester City after a return of 11 points from 10 games.
